Chandler wide receiver and Adidas All-American Kyion Grayes announced his commitment to Ohio State on Sunday.
Grayes did not hide the fact Ohio State had started to separate itself from other schools, and his connection with receivers coach Brain Hartline was incredible strong. His family is currently on a self-guided tour of Columbus, where Grayes announced his commitment.
Grayes held eight offers before his junior season and saw his recruitment start to take off.. Since the start of his junior season, the one-time Arizona commit picked up offers from Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Penn State, USC, Auburn, Utah, Nebraska and Tennessee
As a junior, Grayes caught 28 passes for 556 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games for the Wolves. He is one of the top players in what is going to be a very talented and deep 2022 class.
Kyion Grayes Continues the Pipeline
He’ll also have plenty of familiar faces on a roster that made it to the National Championship this year. When Grayes was a sophomore in 2019, the Chander Wolves navigated an Open Division playoff bracket where they beat Chaparral and quarterback Jack Miller, Salpointe Catholic and athlete Lathan Ransom and Saguaro and athlete Denzel Burke. Miller and Ransom signed with the Buckeyes in 2020 and Burke did the same in 2021.
