Chandler’s Nicolas Nesbitt Breaks Down Columbia Commitment

The Chandler football program has churned out running back after running back to the next level over the last decade.

The class of 2021 Wolves in the backfield this year features Eli Sanders, who is currently committed to Boise State, and Nicolas Nesbitt, who made his pledge to Columbia on Sunday fresh off the Wolves’ 2020 Open Division Championship.

Nesbitt has been very productive over the past three seasons as a part of some of the Wolves’ most talented backfields. In three years, he accumulated over 1,500 all-purpose yards and 25 total touchdowns. The 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back has also made an impact in the weightroom, consistently earning high praise from strength coach Chris Chick. He also got it done in the classroom, posting a 3.8 GPA.

In addition to Columbia, Nesbitt holds offers from Morehead State, Brown, Valparaiso, San Diego, Darmouth, Penn, Lafayette and Bucknell.

The academic and athletic opportunities of Columbia made the opportunity too good to pass up for Nesbitt. He plans to study Political Science and will now make attending the Ivy League school a family affair as his aunt also attended the prestigious university.

On this edition of the Recruiting Roudup, Nesbitt breaks down his decision, how his grandmother helped him choose Columbia, and how Chandler helped him get to where he is today.
