The Colorado Buffaloes strike again.
After getting commitments from two of Arizona’s top 2020 recruits in Brenden Rice and Jason Harris, Chandler 2021 outside linebacker Zion Magalei made his commitment to the program on Saturday.

As a junior, Magalei tallied 51 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, two passes defended and a fumble recovered.
In addition to the Buffaloes, Magalei holds offers from Air Force, Northern Colorado, Army, Navy, Brown, Nevada, Yale, NAU, Arizona, Kansas State and San Diego State.
“Zion Magalei is a player that has unlimited potential,” Chandler head football coach Rick Garretson said.
“He’s a dominant player for us at the high school level and that will continue in the Pac-12. He blends both size and speed to defend the run and pressure quarterbacks. Colorado landed a great player and kid.”
Magalei is one of the many Division I commits on the Wolves’ roster. He’s the latest verbal pledge on the Chandler defense, joining Oregon commit Brandon Buckner, Air Force pledge Kyler Orr and Eastern Washington verbal Kentrell Williams.
