With the NFL draft coming late next month the rumors are hotter and heavier than ever linking the Arizona Cardinals to Kyler Murray. It’s yet to be determined what the Cards will do the number one overall pick but one current player, Christian Kirk, is quite familiar with the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback.
While Kirk is certain Arizona already has their franchise quarterback in Josh Rosen, he said Murray’s skill-set would certainly warrant the top pick in the draft.

“Anytime you’re a Heisman Trophy winner and you do the things he’s able to do on the field, it’s hard for you to say not to,” Kirk said in a recent in-studio interview with Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat. “I’ve seen him do things that are just insane.”

The two were teammates and became close friends at Texas A&M before Murray transferred to Oklahoma following his freshman season in College Station.
Kirk isn’t surprised by any of Murray’s success in football or baseball.
“The type of athletic ability that he’s been blessed with, what he’s able to do on the field,” he explained. “He’s a great leader, a great guy to have on your team…you see what he does in baseball. On the football field, it’s special what he does.”
