The former Arizona State guard and offensive line anchor has a new home. Christian Westerman has been selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round with the 161st pick.
The Chandler-native was an elite prospect at Hamilton High School and committed to Auburn. After one year with the Tigers, Westerman transferred to Arizona State. When it was all said and done, Westerman was a two-time All Pac-12 honoree and was named to Fox Sport’s Bruce Feldman’s “Freaks List” entering the 2015 season.

Pro Football Focus’ Steve Palazzolo shares his thoughts on Westerman:
“He’s one of the best pass protecting guards in the class, love his movement skills. He had one of the top pass blocking grades and has only given up 27 pressures over the last two years.”
Westerman joins guard Jamil Douglas, who was a fourth round selection of the Miami Dolphins in 2015, as the latest Sun Devils along the offensive line to be selected in recent years.
