Cole Martin Doing His Due Diligence on College Opportunities

Arizona Sports News online

Hamilton defensive back Cole Martin has had to be patient in his recruitment. Not in the offers he’s received, he continues to add big program after big program to his list but on how he’s been able to be recruited.

In addition to contact limitations for class of 2023 athletes, on-campus visits and camps have been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. While Martin, like all high school atheltes, has to wait to do his full research on a potential landing spot, the playmaker is still using this time to learn about the opportunities ahead of him.

Martin will be a junior this upcoming season and has already logged a lot of time on a varsity field against the state’s best. Over two years, the defensive back has tallied 77 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He is also a dynamic returner, providing short fields for the Huskies all season.

He will see his role expand in the upcoming season as a wide receiver as well.

Martin discusses his busy recruitment and expanding role on this edition of the Recruiting Roundup.
