Coyotes Announce Limited Capacity Fan Seating For January Games

Arizona Sports News online

The Arizona Coyotes officially announced today that 25 percent limited capacity seating (3,450 fans) will be allowed at home games this January.

Last month, CEO Xavier Gutierrez confirmed that fans would be allowed, but the organization was still ironing out the details.

According to a statement from the team, the Coyotes will be partnered with the mobile application VenueShield, which was a program used in the Edmonton postseason bubble. On the app, fans will go through a series of COVID-19 health questions prior to entering Gila River Arena.

From there, they will either receive a red or green result, which will allow them to enter the facility. Season ticket holders are going to receive first priority on which games to attend. Members who elect not to attend can apply their funds to 2021-22 games in Glendale. Four and six-person mini suites are also going to be available in the arena.

The Coyotes join the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars as a few number of teams that will be permitting fan attendance.
