At one time Daniel Hudson was a big part of the Diamondbacks future. Monday he signed a two-year contract with the Pittsburgh worth 11-million dollars. Hudson, a class act in his time in Arizona, took to Twitter earlier Monday to explain his move to the Pirates.

Hudson won 16 games in 2011 and was one of the most promising pitchers in the Diamondbacks organization. He would go through two Tommy John surgeries in a span of 12 months in 2012 and 2013. The organization brought Hudson back as primarily a relief pitcher. The 28-year-old right hander will have a chance at competing within the Pirates bullpen crew for the closers job.
