In recent years, an Arizona State commitment after Signing Day has become a trend.
The Devils landed six post-Signing Day commitments in 2015 and 2016, including Tim White, Terrell Chatman and Frank Darby.
Arizona State added tight end Ceejhay French-Love last week and on Thursday cornerback Darien Cornay out of Cerritos College in California continued that trend.

The #23 West cornerback in the 2016 class had 31 tackles and an interception in his freshman year at Cerritos.
He is the sixth defensive back of the 2017 class for Todd Graham, joining K.J. Jarrell, Evan Fields, Langston Fredercik, Alex Perry and Ty Thomas.
The Sun Devils made the secondary a priority in this class. In 2016, the Sun Devils gave up a nation-worst 357.3 passing yards per game. The next worse was Pitt, who gave up 14 yards less per game with 343.
