With signing day a day away, Deer Valley athlete Dez Melton has made his commitment to Louisville.
One of the more versatile athletes in the state, Melton had 1,200 total yards as a senior with 10 touchdowns.
“Melton played running back out of need for his team the last few years but he won’t be playing running back at Louisville,” Sorts360AZ recruiting expert Jason Jewell said. “I think Melton will grow into a tight end. He has great speed, nice hands and is overall an impressive athlete. I have always thought that Melton had a chance to be an an elite level player.”
His other offers included San Diego State, Iowa State, Nebraska, ASU, Arizona and NAU.
