Johnson stands at 6-foot-6 and 235 pounds and held other offers from the likes of Utah, Oregon State, Boise State and Nevada. Johnson committed to the Sun Devils Thursday night when Herm Edwards and four assistants were on a home visit with him in Pomona, California. The Sun Devils were the first Power 5 offer for Johnson.
This is the 21st public commitment for the Sun Devils’ 2019 class and seventh from California. He joins Alonzo Hall, Anthonie Cooper and David Heckard as the fourth defensive line commitment in this class.
