The long flights, sleepless nights and endless hours are almost over.
For now.
College football coaches around the country are on the precipice of seeing the fruits of their labor Wednesday as fax machines are powered up in football offices around the country.
National Letter of Intent Day marks the end of long journey which guarantees nothing as staffers pour endless hours into their search to improve said programs.
It’s no different here in-state as ASU and UofA look to keep building on last season’s success. Down in Tucson it appears Rich Rodriguez and his staff’s work is close to complete.
“I think UofA’s about done,” FOX Sports/Scout.com National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins told Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat in a phone interview Tuesday morning. “I think they feel pretty good about where they’re at.”
Meanwhile in Tempe Todd Graham’s secondary received a boost recently with the addition of a pair of highly sought after players, safety Jay Jay Wilson and Kareem Orr.

Biggins believes the sky is the limit for Wilson.
“I think he’s an NFL talent,” he said of the four-star standout from Valencia, California. “He’s such a phenomenal football player…big kid 6’3, 230…can maybe bulk up into a defensive end.”
The two-way star could also possibly play tight end in Mike Norvell’s spread offense but Biggins believes he projects best as a strong side, outside linebacker. Academics could be the only thing keeping him off the field as a true freshman.
Landing Orr from Tennessee further cements ASU’s reach in recruiting which has expanded well beyond the west coast and Texas.
“I think ASU’s brand,” Biggins said. “They are definitely able to go recruit nationally. Going into the south, east coast.”
Graham and Rodriguez continue to build strong foundations moving forward.
“Both classes I think have done really well,” Biggins explained to Cesmat.
