Todd Graham and the Arizona State Sun Devils may have found their edge rusher of the future.
Dougladson Subtyl, a junior-college transfer from Victor Valley College in Victorville, California, has the looks of an impact pass rusher with the speed, size and skills to disrupt opposing backfields in Tempe.
At 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds, the incoming sophomore strong-side defensive end had reported offers from Auburn, Texas A&M, Washington and Washington State, among others, but committed to ASU in October.

His coach at Victor Valley, David Hoover, sung his praises on and off the field and believes his skill-set will transition well to the Pac-12.
“Great young man,” Hoover told Sports360AZ.com in a recent email. “Unbelievable first step for a big man. Always made the big play when we needed it most. Led the state in sacks. Loved by teammates and coaches alike. Special person who will be playing on Sundays.”
Subtyl’s highlights showcase a fast but smart rusher, able to read plays and stuff the run when necessary, and relentless in the chase. A four-star recruit via Scout.com, Subtyl looks like a perfect fit for Graham’s pressure-dependent defensive scheme.
