Dosey-Joe: Graham Boogies After Landing Commit

The robot. The cha-cha. The electric slide. The running man. The foxtrot.

I don’t know Todd Graham well. He seems like a nice guy and a hell of a football coach.

But for the life of me, I can’t think what his “happy dance” looks like.

I don’t think about coaches dancing often, but you can’t blame for thinking about it after Graham said he busted out his happy dance late Tuesday night after hearing four-star recruit Joseph Wicker would be committing to the Sun Devils.

The 6’4” 278 lbs monster truck of a defensive lineman from Long Beach actually caused the Sun Devil head coach to wake his wife up with a shriek and a jive.

“I screamed at the top of my lungs when he said he wanted to be a Sun Devil,” Graham said. “(I’m) really excited at how this guy fits us not just schematically, but this guy’s a warrior.”

According to Graham’s personal metrics, he is his top-rated defensive lineman in the country.

“This was the guy going in down the stretch that we thought we had to land. He’s a guy that fits us, has great character, he’s a great giver. He’s a guy that’s going to come in and be very impactful in our front,” Graham said.

Ok. So Graham likes him, but what exactly would cause all of this high praise? How about this comparison: Will Sutton…but 6’4”.

Quite a statement for Graham to compare this recruit to the two-time Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.

But

If Graham is even half-right, the Sun Devil faithful will be putting on their dancing shoes too.
