Sundays 23-20 win over San Francisco gave the Cardinals a 4-4-1 record and kept them within striking distance of first place Seattle in the NFC West. Here are a couple of observations.
Numbers Don’t Lie
4 turnovers by the Cardinals kept the 49ers in the game
9 penalties for the 49ers kept them from winning the game
Cardinal defense allowed just 298 yards of offense, though San Fransisco was able to move the ball more effectively in the second half.
2 critical dropped balls by 49er receivers late in the game helped the Cardinals
3 made FGs by kicker Chandler Catanzaro
#11 on One Leg
Larry Fitzgerald made diving catches in the first quarter, fourth quarter and everywhere in between to make sure his team won the game. 12 catches for 133 yards and a TD on the day. He also did so with an injured leg.
