Each week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (August 6) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

What will you be watching closely as the pre-season gets ramped up in the upcoming days? “I’m looking for who starts. I’m looking for who gets goal-line carries…Andre Williams comes to mind. I’m looking at players who were injured last year that I want to see healthy and making plays so when Arian Foster comes back or when Doug Martin comes back in Tampa Bay. Are they going to rotate backs? You’re not going to find this stuff out until the third pre-season game when teams are playing their starters more than a half.”

How accurate are pre-season games in evaluating a player’s fantasy value? “A lot of people say pre-season games are worthless and the NFL wants to eliminate some of them but in fantasy, even in the first week of the pre-season there’s little nuggets that you can pick out from the games that make you think, ‘ok, I need to watch in Week 2 and Week 3 of the pre-season and see if these trends continue or not.”

With David Wilson’s unfortunate career-ending neck injury, what are your thoughts on Rashad Jennings in New York? “I really like Rashad Jennings. He’s a three-down back. He can block. He can catch the ball out of the backfield but it looks like he’s going to lose some work to Andre Williams in short-yardage and goal-line situations…Jennings is still the guy to draft. He’s going to come off the board somewhere in about the fifth-round I would guess in a 10-team league.”
