Each week NFL Network and NFL.com Fantasy Football Editor Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building your fantasy team for success.
Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (November 6th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.
If you’re looking to pick up help on the waiver wire from the Patriots who are best options to target? “Well, the first one that comes to mind is Aaron Dobson…Dobson looks like he has really earned the trust of Tom Brady. Danny Amendola is probably owned in most leagues. The same thing for a guy like Stevan Ridley but a guy like Shane Vereen is interesting. Shane Vereen had over 150 scrimmage yards in Week 1. Hurt his wrist. He’s been out since Week 1 but he’s eligible to come back in Week 11 so if he’s out there on the waiver wire, guarantee he’s available in a lot of leagues. Go out and pick him up in PPR leagues because he fills that roll of Danny Woodhead. Woodhead left last season and he could have an even bigger role moving forward with he and Stevan Ridley being a two-headed monster in the backfield there in New England.”
What are your thoughts on Bucs’ rookie Mike Glennon from a fantasy perspective? “He’s a low-end two. Tampa Bay’s offense really surprised I think, everybody last week. When you go into Seattle and play that Seahawks that is basically a statistical death sentence. Teams don’t go up there and put up points. Especially teams that don’t have any wins and though Vincent Jackson was held in-check, which sort of expected…the fact is Mike James had a great game. He rushed for over 150 yards and had a touchdown. Mike Glennon scored 15 fantasy points. Somewhere in there…Mike James has a great matchup against the Dolphins…the Buccaneers certainly have some options that you can use in a fantasy perspective…Glennon has looked good. You could argue that Glennon has been the best rookie quarterback of 2013.”
