Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (December 4th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

Is Ryan Fitzpatrick worth a roster spot if you’re looking to add a quarterback down the stretch? “Yep. He was the first name that came to mind because not only does he have good match-ups but he’s been playing well. In Week 16 he’s playing the Jaguars. Now, you’d have to have a pretty bad quarterback situation to ride Ryan Fitzpatrick for the next three weeks but you could do a lot worse. Ryan Fitzpatrick has this one skill-set that people don’t really consider but he can run with the football. He’s not RGIII and he’s not Cam Newton and he’s not Russell Wilson but he can run with the football and he’s got the same sort of value there at a much lesser degree as one of these running quarterbacks that we’ve seen.”

How about a hot kicker? “Justin Tucker has been very good in Baltimore. A lot of people had dropped him because he didn’t have a great start to the season so he is someone you can potentially add and start right away. Other options include Alex Henery…Adam Vinatieri has been very good. He’s available in a bunch of leagues on NFL.com, as well so those are some of your options. Dan Bailey is another one but he’s probably highly owned maybe 70 or 80% on NFL.com.”
