Each week NFL Network and NFL.com Fantasy Football Editor Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (December 4th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer as playoffs ramp up heading into Week 14. The week kicks off with Jacksonville hosting Houston on Thursday.

Keeping riding the Nick Foles’ wave heading down the stretch? “Unless you have Peyton Manning or Matthew Stafford or Tom Brady or Drew Brees or Cam Newton you’re starting Nick Foles and this week I’d start Nick Foles over Drew Brees because he’s got a good matchup and listen, he’s been on fire. This kid has been unbelievably good. Drew Brees really bad last week. Of course, every player is going to have a bad week here or there and now he’s got to play the Carolina Panthers. At least he’s playing it at home this week so Brees isn’t as much of a risk as he was there in Seattle where fantasy points for opposing teams clearly go to die.”

Is it close between Foles and Peyton Manning this week? “It is close. I have Peyton Manning ranked one and I have Foles ranked three. It’s very close. I have to go with Peyton Manning here, though.”

Is it time to give up on Aaron Rodgers and Percy Harvin? “Aaron Rodgers, no. I would not drop him unless the Packers, somehow in the next week or two, say that he is out for the season. Harvin, you know Brad, that’s a different story. He’s had a setback and there is talk of him having some sort of procedure. If you need to drop Percy Harvin in favor of a hot free agent, I think at this point, the move makes sense.”

Who’s a better play this week: Frank Gore or Shane Vereen? “Again, it’s all about the scoring system. Gore has a horrible matchup this week and Vereen has been really good, especially in PPR leagues. I say Vereen. It’s close in standard leagues. In PPR Vereen is the call and it’s not close.”
