Each week NFL Network and NFL.com Fantasy Football Editor Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (December 11th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

Who are some wide receivers who you expect to continue to put up big numbers in the final weeks? “A player who regardless of the matchup, clearly regardless of the quarterback in Cleveland, is Josh Gordon. This guy has been phenomenal. Did you know that he is averaging more fantasy points per game than Calvin Johnson? He is right there with Calvin Johnson in terms of points despite the fact that he’s played one fewer game…Alshon Jeffery same type of thing. You are seeing an in-flux of these younger players. Keenan Allen is another one. He’s been very good the last couple weeks.”

With the weather usually a concern for outdoor, east coast games this time of year what advice do you have for teams still in the playoffs? “You certainly have to look ahead. There’s no question about that. You have to have confidence in your team. You have to look at the match-ups…looking ahead to Week 16…look at a guy like Andy Dalton.  He’s been really inconsistent, hard to trust but in Week 16 he’s playing the Minnesota Vikings. You don’t get a better matchup than that. These are the things you need to look ahead to: streaming defenses, kickers. Those are the types of things you need to look at.”

Any other late-season, last-minute guys who you still see out their on waiver wires? “Dennis Pitta…this is a guy who helped the Ravens win the Super Bowl last season and now you’re looking at a player who’s available in most leagues on NFL.com who happens to be a Top-10 player at his position…Dennis Pitta is a guy who, if you have Rob Gronkowski…this is a guy who you can pick up and play. He’s no “Gronk,” but I can tell you one thing, he’s probably better than most of the other alternatives on the waiver wire at the tight end position.”
