Every week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (September 1st) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

What do you make of Fred Jackson in the Seahawks’ backfield? “He’s going to be the handcuff for Marshawn [Lynch]..Fred Jackson now being in the mix makes it much easier to handcuff Beast Mode.”

Danny Woodhead or Joseph Randle? “Randle for sure. I know everyone is excited about Darren McFadden…but we’re talking about a guy who’s rushed for 1,000 yards once in his career. A guy who’s had over 120 fantasy points one season in his career. A guy who is synonymous with being injured. I still like Joe Randle.”

What do you make out of the Chargers’ backfield heading into Week 1? “I was excited when they got [Melvin Gordon]. You know how I always joke around about Florida State quarterbacks, USC wide receivers. Wisconsin running backs in the NFL haven’t been that great, either. A lot of people say, ‘oh, you’re crazy! That’s hogwash. Melvin Gordon’s going to be a different player.’ Melvin Gordon has a chance to be really good for both fantasy owners and the Chargers but so far he hasn’t shown up as much as I’d like to see him. I wouldn’t be drafting him as any more than a high RB3 right now. If he struggles you’re looking at a committee of Brandon Oliver and Danny Woodhead and on passing downs and fantasy owners are going to go crazy. Would almost be like Ryan Mathews all over again.”

Alfred Morris or Darren McFadden? “Morris, for sure. I know he hasn’t been as good as he was as a rookie over the last two years but he’s still a solid RB2.”
