In my mind there’s no question Larry Fitzgerald is going to return to our hero’s of the gridiron in 2018. I walked a couple of holes with him last week at TPC Scottsdale and watched his first round highlights from Pebble Beach on Thursday. Fitz and his playing partner, Kevin Streelman, are in the lead. The two have played together at Whisper Rock in Scottsdale on several occasions, so I’m sure Larry is having the time of his life.
He can play as much golf as he wants over the next 7 months, He can try and drop his 13 handicap on the range day after day. I don’t need to see or hear from him until week one of the regular season in September…
Did you hear about our friends to the West trying to put a death blow to youth tackle football? State lawmakers of California put out legislation this week called “Safe Youth Football Act”. Under the bill, organized tackle football would not be allowed until the freshman year of high school. This bit of news came out right after Sundays Super Bowl. I’m hearing and seeing flag football and 7 on 7 leagues at the high school level in our State becoming a big business. We will have more on this in the coming weeks…
Tra Holder came to Arizona State without much hype. This wasn’t James Harden dropping in on Tempe. But when it’s all said and done, he will have made just as much of an impact as Harden did while wearing maroon and gold…
