The USC Trojans made a big splash on Friday when Mountain Pointe four-star safety Isaiah Pola-Mao committed to the Trojans. They followed that up with five-star offensive tackle Austin Jackson’s commitment on Wednesday.
When it was all said and done, Clay Helton’s club earned commitments from the top two players in the state.

Jackson was down to USC, Washington and ASU. He, along with eight other North Canyon student athletes, announced his commitment at the school on Wednesday morning.
USC has had success recruiting the state over recent years. In addition to Jackson and Pola-Mao, former Brophy defensive end Connor Murphy committed to the Trojans in the 2016 class.
Jackson stands at 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds. He also plays basketball and holds school records in discus, and getting in a college weight room could mean this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Jackson’s skill set.
Jackson is USC’s 11th Scout top-300 commitment.
