Former Arizona Wildcats quarterback Anu Solomon will transfer to Baylor, according to sources.
The quarterback burst onto the scene in 2014, throwing for 28 touchdowns and leading the Wildcats to the Fiesta Bowl. He spent time on the disabled list after suffering a concussion against UCLA and had a kneed injury in 2016 that forced him to miss six games.
Solomon will be in competition with freshman Zack Smith, who played in the final five games of the season for the Bears, and Charlie Brewer, who just joined Baylor as an early-enrollee.
Good timing by Anu Solomon. I wrote earlier today that Baylor needed a grad transfer to compete w/ Zach Smith. https://t.co/hSTAd2SwD2

He is a grad transfer who will be eligible immediately.
Meanwhile, Wildcat linebacker Cody Ippolito will be transferring to Utah.
Playing my last season at University of Utah. Want to thank Coach Whittingham for taking me into their program. #GoUtes

The former Chaparral and Arizona linebacker will walk on to the program reports the Salt Lake Tribune’s Kyle Goon.
Ippolito tore his ACL three times in his college career and is seeking a sixth year of eligibility, which the NCAA has indicated shouldn’t be a problem. His best year was in 2014, where he had 52 tackles and teamed up with Pat Tillman Pac-12 defensive player of the year Scooby Wright.
Ippolito will not be on scholarship for the spring semester but hopes to earn one in the summer.
