As the ASU football team returns to official practice for the 2020 season, wide receiver Frank Darby is looking to lead a young but talented receiving room.
The expectations, and pressure, for Darby to be the next premier wideout in Tempe after N’Keal Harry and Brandon Aiyuk were both drafted in the first round the past two years is as present as his action figure frame and unwavering energy.
But head coach Herm Edwards wants Frank to be Frank.
Darby tallied 616 yards and eight touchdowns last year as a deep threat for Jayden Daniels and a perfect complement to Aiyuk. But Edwards is quick to remind his wide receiver that the offense is at its best when multiple receivers, and facets, are involved.
Both Darby and Edwards explain how the wide receiver can help this receiving group thrive in the video above.
