Player of the Week

* Perry QB Brock Purdy threw for 383 yards and six TD’s in their win over Desert Vista.

Team of the Week

* Desert Mountain – Down 27-7 to cross town rival Chaparral in the 4th quarter, Desert Mountain came back and won 28-27 on the last play of the game.

Coach of the Week

Doug Provenzano – Goldwater – I am sure most people thought their game versus North Canyon could go either way but the Bulldogs came up with a huge 52-19 win.

Quarterbacks

* Cholla’s Jordan Porter threw for 416 yards, five TDs, rushed for 173 yards and three more scores against Douglas.

* Casteel junior Gunner Cruz tossed six TDs passes against Globe.

* Chandler junior Jacob Conover threw for 368 yards against Red Mountain.

* Chaparral’s Davis Chauhan threw for 345 yards and four TDs against Desert Mountain.

* Pinnacle junior Spencer Rattler threw for 272 yards, two TD’s, rushed for 101 yards and two more scores against Brophy.

* Steven Ybarra from Superior threw five TD passes against Trivium Prep.

* Saguaro’s Max Massingale threw for 254 yards and rushed for 67 more against Catalina Foothills.

Running Backs

* Hamilton’s Jawhar Jordan rushed for five TD’s in a win over Boulder Creek.

* Salpointe sophomore Bijan Robinson scored five TD’s against St. Mary’s.

* Mt. Pointe’s Gary Bragg recovered from an ACL tear last year and rushed for three TD’s in a win over O’Connor.

* Antwan Craig from Fairfax rushed for 200 yards and three TD’s against Camelback.

* Notre Dame junior Jake Smith had 227 all-purpose yards and three TD’s versus Shadow Ridge.

* Patrick Serrano from Boulder Creek rushed for 179 yards and two TD’s against Hamilton.

* Trey Johnson from Queen Creek ran for 203 yards and three scores against Chavez.

Receivers

* Maricopa’s Jacob Cowing caught eight passes for 275 yards and two TD’s against Willow Canyon.

* Pinnacle TE Hayden Hatten had 127 yards and two touchdowns receiving while also rushing and throwing for scores.

* Superior’s Marcos Bueno caught 10 passes for 102 yards and two scores versus Trivium Prep.

* Centennial CB D.J. Hampton had two pick 6’s against Desert Edge.
