The Arizona Cardinals hosted their annual ‘Cards Fan Fest’ at University of Phoenix stadium Tuesday afternoon. In attendance was Cardinals newly-hired QB, Carson Palmer, who signed his first autograph today as an Arizona Cardinal. Other faces of interest included team owner, Michael Bidwell, as well as the Cardinal’s new head coach, Bruce Arians.
The annual event is designed to bring fans and players together during the offseason, and allow them to browse the stadium as well as interact with players.
One big announcement from todays event was Michael Bidwell’s announcement that the team will indeed be holding training camp at University of Phoenix Stadium, as opposed to the NAU facilities in Flagstaff, as they have done for many years now. This move was done with fans in mind, as Bidwell said “Not all those people can afford to take the time off, or drive up and spend the night in Flagstaff over the last several years”. “We expect this is going to be more accessible for more fans to come out, enjoy the stadium, and it’s free.”
