LAS VEGAS — Anything short of winning the WAC Tournament would be a bitter disappointment for Grand Canyon University. Thursday night the ‘Lopes started fast and finished strong pulling away from Seattle University 84-75.
Carlos Johnson exploded for a career high 31 points, 22 coming in the second half. GCU made 11-24 three-pointers (45.8%) and 17-19 free throws (89.5%).

With the win, the Grand Canyon will move on to play Utah Valley in the semifinals at Orleans Arena Friday night at 8:30. It’s a rematch of the 2018 semi-finals which GCU won.
