Turmoil at the Phoenix Suns went to a new level today when Head Coach Alvin Gentry and the organization decided to part ways after his five-plus seasons as head coach.
Gentry was named interim coach in February 2009 and took the team to the 2010 Western Conference Finals. This season, playing with an inferior roster, Gentry coached the team to a 13-28 record.
An interim coach will be named by the team within the next 24-48 hours.
A press conference is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
