Thursday Three Dots…

As good as the NBA playoffs(and ratings) have been, the same can be said for the off the court action.
Steve Kerr didn’t need the aggravation of hearing Knick fans chanting “we want Phil” the minute the team fell behind 2-0 on the opening night. Kerr has never been a head coach, but then again he never was a GM before coming to the Suns and I thought he did fairly well while in Phoenix. Kerr wanted to draft Steph Curry when he was running the Suns, now he gets to coach him at Golden State. Bad news for the Suns…
The wise guys around the Lakers organization believe that IF they get a good spot in next Tuesdays lottery (6th pick or better) that they can call Cleveland and make a run at Kyrie Irving or Kevin Love in Minnesota…

Jahii Carson is in Chicago for the pre-draft combine. It’s a BIG few days for him. A year ago I had an NBA scout tell me that Carson had an outside chance of being a late first rounder. A year later, I’m hearing his name all over the second round. It’s as simple as this for Jahii. A 5″10 point guard has to find the right fit in the League. If not, he could be bouncing around on a bus in Turkey or the D-League. Not a swipe, just the truth…

I am more than amused with those who want to rip and question Karlos Dansby for moving to Cleveland. I like what the Browns have done in this offseason, his decimal point moved in the right direction on the paycheck, and he is in a division that is wide open vs what the Cardinals are facing in the NFC West. Good for Karlos!

No one can convince me that moving the Pac-12 football title game to San Francisco is in the best interest of the league. Find a way to build a football stadium in Las Vegas and let’s put on the same party for football like was see every March with basketball…

Former Desert Mtn. quarterback Kyle Allen did a sit-down interview with our own Eric Sorenson earlier this week. He could well be the replacement at Texas A&M for Johnny Manziel come August when the Aggies open their season. Allen has already left high school and did well in spring ball for Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin…

ASU baseball finishes up their run at Packard Stadium next Tuesday before moving to Phoenix Muni. The big question is what will President Crow do with that SW corner lot at Rio Salado and Rural? A high end hotel sounds good…
