Some of baseball’s best will square off in the National League Wild Card on Wednesday night. While they may be opponents battling it out for postseason supremacy in the fall, a few of these guys – Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado and Jonathan Lucroy – were teammates in the spring for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic.
The trio helped lead the U.S. to its first World Baseball Classic title, and there are ten members of that team who made it to the postseason in 2017.
It seems like there is plenty of mutual respect between Goldschmidt, Arenado and Lucroy when these guys “lock horns” as the Rockies catcher eloquently puts it.
