The first base position has been somewhat of a hole in the Diamondbacks line-up over the last several years. But the way Paul Goldscmidt bursted onto the scene in 2011, they may have filled that void.
After starting the season in the minors, Goldschmidt played 48 games for the Diamondbacks last season hitting 8 home runs and driving in 26 runs. For this Spring Training, Goldschmidt is slated to be the starting first baseman in his first full season in the majors.
Pros2preps.com met with Paul Goldschmidt out at Salt River Fields who talked Spring Training and the upcoming season.
