Opportunity Awaits Arizona State Football

Utah, at Washington, at Arizona. What an opportunity!

The Sun Devils have those three teams remaining on the 2016 schedule. Win just two of the final three and Todd Graham should be satisfied with the end result. Just beating a bad Arizona team and losing the other two shouldn’t constitute a successful season. 636136285307082392-asu-practice-7

Utah comes to Tempe this Thursday. The Utes are ranked 12th in the nation and have the inside track to win the Pac-12 South. For some reason, the Utes haven’t played their best football in the month of November under head coach Kyle Whittingham, going 4-5 the last two years.

Nine days later, the Sun Devils are in Seattle to take on a Washington Huskies team that right now is playing as well as anyone in the nation. Ranked 4th in the country, I’d like to see the Huskies make the college football playoff. No one will give Arizona State a chance to win the game, but again, WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY!

The Sun Devils rivalry game with Arizona doesn’t have much to it this year. Say what you want about the Territorial Cup and all that stuff, but the facts are, the Wildcats are just flat awful. The pressure is really on ASU to win that game. As banged up as Rich Rods team is, losing that game would be a huge step back for the Sun Devils.

So there it is. Three really interesting games for many reasons, starting this Thursday. Let’s see if there’s been progress made..
