Hamilton WR Takes Opportunity to Play At LSU

Patience is a virtue.

That can be said for many things, but it can apply to recruiting. Often times players and coaches are looking to get decisions made out of the way and get going with their next step.

But not for Hamilton wide receiver C.J. Jarmon.

The 6-foot-4, 170-pound senior wide out caught 29 balls for 533 yards and eight touchdowns this season and held offers from Eastern Washington, Idaho, Northern Arizona and South Dakota State.

He waited, took his time and committed to Idaho in mid-January. But then LSU came calling.

The Tigers have been near and dear to Jarmon. His mother ran track at LSU, and the young wide receiver always had an admiration for the playmakers on the outside, whether it be Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry or any of the numerous other wide receivers.

LSU offered Jarmon a grey-shirt opportunity, mean Jarmon would postpone his enrollment until the spring semester. Jarmon plans to take online classes and continue to get bigger in the gym until he heads out to Louisiana in January.

Jarmon’s size and speed helped him become a playmaker for the Huskies this past year, and he is hoping to use those same skills to thrive at the same university his mother attended.

Mixing his passions for sports and storytelling, Jordan comes to Sports360az as a multimedia reporter/producer looking to share the best stories Arizona has to offer. You can follow him on Twitter and Instagram @JordyHamm
