North high school head football coach Bernie Busken has a big game on Friday night against 2-0 South Mountain. Forgive him if he’s a bit distracted. His daughter, Brooke, had to evacuate their home in Crosby, Texas on Monday due to Hurricane Harvey.”It hits home, because both of my daughters live in that area”, Busken told me by phone on Tuesday night.

“You see the pictures, but you just cannot imagine so much water being in one area. There’s a whole lot of people hurting down there, it’s just amazing.”
Busken has been on the phone with both daughters quite a bit, but there’s not much that can be done from Arizona. “They are safe, but I just don’t think people know devastating it really is and how terrible things are for all the people down there”.
