Higley quarterback Spencer Brasch has been one of the hottest quarterback recruits in the state.
In the last three months, he earned offers from NAU, Idaho, Liberty, UNLV, Eastern Washington, UC Davis, Cincinnati, Syracuse, San Jose State, Minnesota, SMU, North Carolina State, Hawaii, Vanderbilt, Cal, Colorado State and Louisiana-Lafayette.
On Tuesday, he made his verbal commitment to the Cal Golden Bears.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound dual-threat quarterback completed 62.4% of his passes for 1,942 yards, 33 touchdowns and five interceptions last year. He also rushed for 898 yards and 13 touchdowns and averaged nearly a first down a carry.
“(Brasch is) a versatile quarterback that I consider a pocket passer that has enough athletic ability and speed to make plays as a runner or extend plays when the pocket breaks down,” Sports360AZ.com recruiting expert Jason Jewell said. “He has plenty of arm strength.”
This is the fourth Arizona prospect to commit to Cal this class, joining Liberty defensive stars Ryan Puskas and Braxten Croteau and Desert Vista defensive lineman Brett Johnson.
