Kokoskov was an assistant with the Suns from 2008-2013 and was the Slovenian national coach, where the team won the 2017 EuroBasketball title led by former Suns guard Goran Dragic and potential Suns first round pick Luka Doncic.
Along with the Jazz and Suns, he has also coached for the Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic.
He is the 19th head coach in franchise history.
