Monday, Tempe High School will be the place for local high school hoop fans. Marc Beasley, one of the very best people I know in the Valley sports scene, has put together a terrific event with the help of the Tempe Union High School District. Marc sent over a statement late Sunday night on Monday’s lineup.
“It’s my pleasure to be on the leadership team of this event. Although the MLK Dream Classic is a grassroots, community-based event, it’s a way to bring people together through high school sports. Hopefully those who attend will advocate for people who struggle for peace, social justice, civil rights, and human dignity. That’s a global view. here’s a more simpilar view. In every situation there’s right and wrong. Let’s all remember that.”
Here’s the lineup of games for Monday, January 20th.
