Sun Devil legend Jake Plummer didn’t hold back when talking about this Saturdays matchup between ASU and Notre Dame. On our weekly college football segment Jake “The Snake” went right after the Irish.
“They are highly overrated, which is nothing new for Notre Dame, they’re holier than everybody, thats their shtick”.
(11 minute mark of the segment is the ASU v Notre Dame talk)
On the field, Plummer thinks that the Arizona State offense won’t have trouble scoring against the Irish. “Marion Grice will have 14 points when he steps off the bus, if ASUs can cause some havoc and get after Tommy Rees then there will be no chance for Notre Dame”.
Notre Dame and Arizona State have bad blood coming into this game. The Irish attempted to back out of a signed contract game with the Sun Devils for the 2014 season to be played in Tempe.
ASU Director of Athletics Steve Patterson used strong language against Notre Dame on my show back in early April when the Irish tried to pull out. “At least in the little Catholic town that I grew up in Wisconsin, the good nuns wouldn’t have thought that breaking their word was very honorable”.
The two sides were eventually able to keep the game on next years schedule(October 25th, 2014).
Plummer joins me every Thursday on Pros2Preps.com at 10:15am to talk college football.
