Sources close to the situation told Pros2Preps’s Brad Cesmat that June Jones had been in talks to be the next head football coach at Arizona State University.
Cesmat first reported on November 28 on his mid-day radio show on XTRA 910 in Phoenix, that Arizona State was looking at Jones as the next head coach.
As of Wednesday afternoon, June Jones’ agent said the offer had been taken off the table. Reports on Twitter indicated that the Sun Devils might not even been interested anymore in pursuing Jones to fill the vacancy.
The vacancy was created in November, when ASU fired head coach Dennis Erickson. Erickson is still being allowed to coach the team in their bowl game December 22 in las Vegas.
Check back as the story continues to unfold.
