Kolb limited in practice Wednesday

Kevin Kolb was on his feet during practice today for the first time in three weeks. Kolb has been battling a turf toe injury since the Cardinals loss to the Ravens in Baltimore on October 30.

“It’s (Kolb’s toe injury) getting better. Took some individual work and started dropping on it a little bit,” said Kolb after practice Wednesday. “That’s a big step for me obviously.”

Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt added, “We got to make sure that he can get through all the movements and be able to plant and throw. As well as move out of the pocket if he needs to.”

With it being Wednesday, Whisenhunt has not made a decision on whether not Kolb will play or if he will stick with John Skelton who has won the last two games as the starter and is now 4-2 as a starter in his two year career.

“I know Kevin is doing everything he can to get healthy,” said Skelton on Wednesday. “We will just play it day by day and see what happens.”

Despite the Cardinals winning the last two weeks, Kolb cannot help but feel frustrated with this injury. “My injuries have either been a broken bone or concussion which is pretty straight forward on the recovery time so this a bit frustrating to me.”

The Cardinals will look to make it three in a row on Sunday where they travel to San Francisco to face their rival, the 8-1 49ers who stand atop the NFC West.
