From Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale to College Station,Texas and then a trip over to Houston. There have been lots of luggage tags on the suitcases belonging to quarterback Kyle Allen, but it appears that he’s found his footing with the Cougars. After an opening first quarter that looked more likes nerves than rust, Allen put up a solid showing in leading UH to a 19-16 victory over the Arizona Wildcats Saturday night in Tucson.
Allen transferred out of Texas A&M after the 2015 season and sat out all last year. He was able to put a respectable stat line 25/32, 225 yards, TD and 2 Ints. Jordan Hamm was in Tucson and spoke with Allen after the game.
What’s Next
After having their first game postponed due to Hurricane Harvey, Houston opened their season with a win over Arizona. Next week, Allen and the Houston Cougars take on Rice.
