The Arizona Cardinals announced Larry Fitzgerald has signed a one-year contract extension for the 2020 season.

In what’s became a yearly tradition, questions swirled around whether Fitzgerald would return to the team or retire, similarly to January 23, 2019 and February 15, 2018, Fitz opted to lead the Bird Gang for at least another year.

The wide receiver from Pitt is the Cardinals franchise leader in games played, receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, total touchdowns and 100-yard games.

This will be Fitzgerald’s 17th season with the Cardinals, one season shy of Jim Hart’s franchise record 18 seasons.

In 2019, Fitzgerald notched 75 receptions for 804 yards and four touchdowns.
