Laying the Lumber, NAU Wins Opener

Northern Arizona made short work of FBS  UTEP on Saturday afternoon, winning with ease over the Miners. 30-10. 

The Lumberjacks converted two takeaways into 10-points in the opening quarter. They’d extend the lead to 17-0 in the first half .

NAU junior quarterback Case Cookus connected with Emmanuel Butler on two scoring plays. 

The Lumberjacks have their home opener next Saturday afternoon against Eastern Washington.
