It didn’t take long for head coach Dan Majerle and his Grand Canyon men’s basketball team to put their stamp on life in Division-I winning 15 games and receiving a postseason bid this spring in their inaugural season in the Western Athletic Conference.
The fall will bring a whole new challenge with road games at Kentucky (November 14th) and Indiana (December 13th) and home matchups in the newly renovated GCU Arena (expanding to close to 7,000 capacity) against NCAA tournament regulars New Mexico and Harvard. The Lopes will play 21 home games this season.
Other intriguing games include a trip to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to face Majerle’s alma mater Central Michigan on November 29th. GCU will host WAC powers Utah Valley and New Mexico State on February 14th and 21st, respectively.
