Members of USMNT Discuss Rising’s MLS Push

Arizona Sports News online

Arizona is playing host to the US Men’s National Soccer team this week as they host Panama in a match on Sunday at State Farm Stadium.

A strong showing by the U.S. could be the first step in a new era towards World Cup. A strong showing of support by Arizona fans could help Phoenix Rising in their pursuit of becoming a MLS franchise.

Two members of the national team, Aaron Long and Corey Baird, spent time in the state early on in their careers. Arizona made such an impression on Long that he was curious what the Flavor of the Month was at Eegee’s. Along with these two players, head coach Gregg Berhalter discuss how Arizona has evolved as a soccer state and what MLS would look like if Rising was added to the league.
