Mercury’s Candace Dupree to serve one-game suspension

Arizona Sports News online

Mercury forward Candace Dupree made a mistake and will have to pay the price.

Dupree will serve a one-game suspension without pay for making contact with an official during last Saturday’s game in Indianapolis, Ind., against the WNBA Champion Fever.

The Mercury won the game – their first of the season – 82-67.

The contact was made between Dupree and the official with 1:48 left in the second quarter.

Dupree will sit out tonight’s game versus the Los Angeles Sparks at U.S. Airways Center. The tip is at 7 p.m. Arizona time.
