Mike Bercovici will see Arizona State football much differently when the Sun Devils take on Kent State in their season opener Thursday night.
The former starting quarterback was hired this spring as a graduate assistant on Herm Edwards’ staff and so far, so good for “Coach Berco.”

Bercovici explained how he believes coaching is a 50/50 split between motivating and teaching and admits the long days and, sometimes even longer nights, have been an adjustment with his new coaching responsibilities.
“As a player you get beat up and you take the bumps and bruises,” he said. “Here, you’re here at five in the morning and sometimes we don’t leave until 11 or 12 at night so you just have to get your body in shape to having full work days. It’s been a grind but I’ve enjoyed every second of it.”
You know you’re in Camp T when you have to ask…
“What day is it today?”… everyday

Something tells me Bercovici will be just fine making his way up the coaching ranks if that’s the avenue he chooses to pursue.
