NAU Signee Laurita is Son of Former College Football Record Holder

At the beginning of February, Ironwood Ridge offensive and defensive lineman Chase Laurita made it official that he will be playing football at the next level for Northern Arizona University. In signing his letter of intent, be became a second generation college football player in his family.

Chase’s father Al suited up for Barry Switzer and the Oklahoma Sooners in the 1980s and in while there, held a college football record. Al and Chase tell the history of football in their family and how Al’s many experiences along the way have helped shape the type of player and person that his son Chase is today.
