Call Bryant O’Georgia the Swiss army knife for North Canyon High School.
The senior football star can do a little bit of everything.
He plays wide receiver on offense, cornerback on defense. The Rattlers also use him as one of their main kick returners, as well.
Oh, did we also mention he handles the punting duties?
“On offense he creates a mis-match,” first-year North Canyon head coach Cornelius Boswick said. “So most teams have to play two or three guys on him.”
“He is one of the most versatile players in the state,” Scout.com and Pros2Preps southwest recruiting analyst Jason Jewell said via email. “But is being recruited as a wide receiver.”
In the Rattlers heart-breaking 59-55 loss to Paradise Valley Friday night O’Georgia said he lost track of how many plays he was on the field. He’s still adjusting to the increased workload this fall.
“I hadn’t played much defense last year, only in certain situations,” he explained to Pros2Preps.com. “This is my first year playing both sides of the ball and special teams.”
O’Georgia has decent size (6’0, 180) but will likely be used in the slot at the next level because of his quick bursts and willingness to go over the middle to make the tough catch.
“On offense he creates a mis-match,” first-year North Canyon head coach Cornelius Boswick said. “So most teams have to play two or three guys on him. So it’s pretty easy for us to be able to…use him in different places.”
He has standing offers from Northern Arizona and New Mexico State and said Arizona State has also shown some interest.
